Cement Services

Services

    • Geo Cement provides a number of cementing solutions, including Well Cementing, High Pressure Pumping, and Acid Stimulation.
    • The main objectives of primary cementing operations include zonal isolation to prevent migration of fluids in the annulus, support for the casing or liner string, and protection of the casing string from corrosive formation fluids.

Our Process

    • To prepare and pump cement into place in a wellbore, cementing operations may be undertaken to seal the annulus after a casing string has been run.  This is the process of placing a cement sheath around a casing or liner string.
    • Before cementing operations commence, engineers determine the volume of cement (commonly with help of a caliper log) to be placed in the wellbore and the physical properties of both the slurry and the set time of the cement needed, including density and viscosity.  A cementing crew uses special cementing equipment and pumps to displace drilling fluids and place cement in the wellbore.

Our Equipment

      • Geo Cement uses a high pressure pumping unit mounted on a trailer.  The high pressure pumping system consists of (2) Detroit series 60 diesel engines rated at 630 BHP, (2) automatic transmissions, and (2) triplex pumps.  The fluid handling system includes two displacement tanks with 20 barrels total capacity (10 barrels per tank), three centrifugals for loading tanks, mixing and for pressurizing the down hole pumps.  The Mixing System consists of computerized automatic tub leveling density control.  The unit is equipped with a data recording system for reporting job parameters which can be downloaded and given to customers.  The CCM system is designed for top operating
        performance curves.
        • Density Range: 6-22.6 lb/gal
        • Mixing Rates: 0-12 BPM
        • Maximum pressure for 4 ½ inch triplex pump: 8000 psi
        • Maximum pressure for 3 ½ inch triplex pump: 10,000 psi
